V-Ray

V-Ray is an advanced render engine, developed by Chaos Group that employs advanced techniques such as path tracing, photon mapping, irradiance maps and directly computed global illumination, making V-Ray preferable to conventional renderers currently provided as ‘standard’ within 3d software. Fast and flexible, V-Ray has become the rendering solution-of-choice for many architects, designers and 3D production facilities due to its capability in delivering high quality photorealistic images in the shortest time while giving them full control over the 3D production process.

Key Features

-VRayMultiSubTex+ Based on object ID, users can employ this V-Ray-specific texture to assign different textures to the target object.
-V-Ray RT GPU Enhancements Incorporate VRayProxy objects, texture-mapped area and mesh lights, Simple Skylight portals, and the VRayBlendMtl into an ultra-fast V-RayRT GPU workflow.
-VRayHairMtl Allows hair and fur to be rendered with unprecedented control, quality, and speed.
-VRayLightSelect Render Element Make realtime changes to lighting in any compositing software – extract the contribution of each light to the scene, compose all the lights back together and change their intensity in real time in any compositing software.
-PTex textures Create materials quickly and efficiently using V-Ray Materials; simplify the creation of complex, layered materials with the V-Ray Blend and V-Ray Car Paint Materials while maintaining control, speed and quality.
-Shading With V-Ray Create materials quickly and efficiently using V-Ray Materials; simplify the creation of complex, layered materials with the V-Ray Blend and V-Ray Car Paint Materials while maintaining control, speed and quality. - See more at: http://xtfx.co.uk/products/3d-content-creation/v-ray/v-ray-for-3ds-max/#sthash.wJA0gzBr.dpuf
