Our highly effective introductory-level courses are built around the Autodesk® Media & Entertainment visual effects & finishing solutions. The instructor-led sessions provide students with extensive lab time, and cover major product features and workflow over a period of a week. Students learn to master essential techniques and gain the knowledge required to handle a project from start to finish. Training is available in a classroom setting for a small number of users and can be adapted to suit student needs.
This course introduces the finishing workflow in Autodesk Smoke®. It is designed for editors with little or no previous exposure to Smoke and covers key interface components, media management, editing essentials, special effects, and compositing features in Smoke.
Prerequisites
6 months to 1 year experience in a post-production environment, using effects and compositing tools.

| The Smoke level 1 course introduces the editor to the editing techniques and editing workflow.
The course is designed for editors with little or no previous exposure to Smoke, and for those who are self taught and wish to
improve their workflow. The course introduces key interface components, media management, editing essentials, color
correction, keying and compositing in the Timeline. In addition the course provides an introduction to compositing in Action.
The goal of this course is to enable editors to quickly learn the essential skills needed to use Smoke in their daily work as well as
understand the concepts that will allow them to expand their skills while working.
