Determining the Appropriate OS

Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® operating system is a commercial Linux distribution, which requires a subscription fee. Red Hat offers several types of enterprise-class support, along with training, documentation, and consulting. This distribution is recommended for most users, especially if you need assistance with Linux system administration and configuration. CentOS is a free, enterprise-class Linux distribution derived from the Red Hat Enterprise Linux sources. It is built and maintained by the online community. Unofficial support and documentation are freely available online, through mailing lists, and discussion groups.
